“Laverne & Shirley” was a spin-off of ABC’s successful “Happy Days” sitcom. The comedy aired from 1976 to 1983, starring Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams as two single women living in MIlwaukee in the late 1950s and 1960s.
The syndicated version of the series was called “Laverne & Shirley & Company” from 1981 to 1983 because first-run episodes of the series still aired on ABC.
“Entertainment Tonight” interviewed some of the cast in January 2015.
There was an animated spin-off, “Laverne & Shirley in the Army,” which aired on Saturday mornings in 1981 on ABC.
